The expertise of two complementary teams
THEAM was created in 2011 from the merger of BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking’s asset management subsidiary Harewood Asset Management and BNP Paribas Asset Management’s SIGMA Division (structured, indexed and multi-alpha generation products).
THEAM combines the expertise of two complementary businesses, with a view to offering investors the best of both worlds: the innovation and responsiveness of an investment bank and the long-term performance-focused culture of an asset manager.
The merger of Harewood Asset Management and SIGMA, which worked on innovative capital-protected, indexed and model-driven asset management solutions for many years, has brought together tried and tested know-how and recognised cutting-edge expertise.
This enables THEAM to offer clients ranging from savers to institutional investors attractive investment solutions that can meet their needs, reflecting the latest financial research.
More than 100 investment professionals
THEAM employs more than 100 investment professionals, including around 60 fund managers, product structuring experts, specialists and financial engineers (Source: THEAM as at 31 December 2016 ).
Their in-depth knowledge of financial markets and broad areas of expertise enable THEAM to offer investors a wide variety of investment solutions including low-volatility, multi-factor and high-dividend equity products and smart-beta strategies.
The product structuring, management and specialist investment teams are divided into three areas of expertise that correspond to THEAM’s three areas of expertise, each meeting a specific investor requirement: model-driven, indexed and capital-protected asset management.
This organisational structure aims to encourage teams to collaborate, assembling complementary skills around a shared investment goal, and to innovate and draw up new solutions that enable THEAM to adjust its offering continually and flexibly to the investment requirements of clients in markets characterised by rapid fluctuations.
